I'm trying to turn OFF the Find My iPod function so that I can restore my device and I tunes will not accept the password that I've used for years?

Hi There, does anyone know how to disable the Find My iPod function without a password?

I-tunes is not accepting the password that I've used for years.

If you are restoring you iPod and it asks you to turn off FindMyiPhone then:


- Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode

and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled

- If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Note that in order to use the iPod you will still have to enter the ID and PW last used in Settings>iCloud on the iPod
